Behavioral Health Center

The Behavioral Health Center at Texoma Medical Center offers comprehensive adult psychiatric and chemical dependency services to adults 18 years and older. For more than two decades, the 60-bed facility has served the behavioral health needs of the North Texas and Southern Oklahoma regions.

The Behavioral Health Center at Texoma Medical Center is available 24 hours per day, seven days a week to discuss your needs and accept referrals. The admission process begins with an evaluation by a mental health professional, followed by a consultation with a psychiatrist. Final recommendations for care are discussed with the patient and family.

TMC Behavioral Health Center provides specialized inpatient stabilization and outpatient programs for adults and senior adults. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach incorporating psychiatry, social work, counselors, therapists (recreation and occupation), nursing and clergy to guide a patient's care.

Center Services

Adult Psychiatric Inpatient: This program is designed to stabilize those suffering from a mental health crisis. This level of care incorporates 24-hour nursing and psychiatric care, along with participation in group and individual therapies focused on resolving the crisis.

Geriatric Psychiatric Inpatient: We provide a specialized, independent unit to service our older adult population. Senior adults have unique mental, physical and emotional needs which can be complicated by underlying physical and medical conditions demanding this level of customized care.

CHOICES Chemical Dependency & Psychiatric Program: This complete inpatient and outpatient recovery program services patients suffering with concurrent substance use and mental health diagnoses. Our program includes detoxification along with an introduction to our psychiatric curriculum.

Intensive Outpatient Program: Recognizing that not all patients need 24-hour supervision and care, this program allows patients to receive treatment similar to that of our inpatient programs with the advantage of returning to their homes and families at night.
