The TMC Behavioral Health Center has provided comprehensive adult psychiatric and chemical dependency services to adults 18 years and older, for more than 20 years.

We have treated thousands of adult and geriatric patients from throughout north Texas and southern Oklahoma who have chosen TMC Behavioral Health Center for help with:

  • Crisis stabilization.
  • Medication management.
  • Inpatient psychiatric care.
  • Outpatient programs.

The center is a 60-bed facility that is open 24 hours per day, seven days a week.

Every patient faces unique challenges and victories on their journey so at the TMC Behavioral Health, we use a multidisciplinary apporach to develop each patient’s individual program and care plan. Each plan uses best practices in psychiatry, social work, counseling, recreational and occupational therapy, nursing and clergy.

The admission process at TMC Behavioral Health Center is:

  1. Patients, their families or a referral source should call 903-416-3000 to schedule an evaluation.
  2. All patients will meet with a licensed mental health professional for an evaluation.
  3. Patients meet with one of our psychiatrists for a consultation.
  4. Staff members at the center will then discuss their recommendations with patients and their families.

CENTER SERVICES

Adult Psychiatric Inpatient: This program is designed to stabilize those suffering from a mental health crisis. This level of care incorporates 24-hour nursing and psychiatric care, along with participation in group and individual therapies focused on resolving the crisis.

Geriatric Psychiatric Inpatient: We provide a specialized, independent unit to serve our older adult population. Senior adults have unique mental, physical and emotional needs which can be complicated by underlying physical and medical conditions demanding this level of customized care.

Intensive Outpatient Program: We recognize that not all patients need 24-hour supervision and care. This program allows patients to receive treatment similar to that of our inpatient programs with the advantage of returning to their homes and families at night.

Inpatient and Outpatient ECT: Modern electroconvulsive therapy is available for patients who have severe depression and have not experienced benefits from medication. Learn more >
