Radiology

Radiology is the area of medicine that uses X-rays, radioactive tracers, magnetic waves and ultrasonic waves to obtain detailed images of the inside of the body. Doctors can then use those images to detect and diagnose illnesses and injuries, as well as to help develop treatment plans.

To complement our imaging capabilites, our NEW outpatient location, TMC Advanced Medical Imaging, provides high-quality and technologically advanced medical imaging to residents of Sherman and Denison and is recognized as one of the premier imaging centers in the area.

Texoma Medical Center and TMC Advanced Medical Imaging offer the following radiology services:

The most widely used and recognized imaging method for the detection of breast cancer is a mammogram. This low radiation X-ray often can detect abnormalities in the breast before anything can be felt.
