Program Overview
TMC’s Family Medicine Residency Program is a three-year (36 month) postgraduate program established in July 2015. Both DO and MD faculty attending administer the program curriculum. The program has affiliation with the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center — Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and Texas OPTI, to provide hands-on training for our residents in the Family Medicine program. Core rotations include:
- Family medicine
- Emergency medicine
- Obstetrics and gynecology
- Internal medicine
- General surgery
The Continuity of Care Clinic is an integral curriculum requirement, with increasing levels of time dedicated to this component during each successive year of residency training. The Continuity of Care Clinic, located at the Grayson County Health Clinic, serves the uninsured and underserved population of Grayson County.
Curriculum
Core rotations include family medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics and more.
